I never really used to be into football like that, but the Detroit Lions recently just pulled me in. The energy the team has had is out of the normal. The team has been looking great on the field and the fans are roaring with excitement. Every game feels like the whole city of Detroit comes together. The community is involved that we feel like we're apart of something bigger. Once I heard about the tailgating experiences downtown from coworkers, I was locked in. They would tell me about the food trucks they tried, the people they met and all the fun before the game.
The real fans who have been waiting through all the losses are hyped up. This energy is everywhere around you it's hard not to feel the same bliss. Everyone is walking around downtown seeing new and old friends out having a good time. Nowadays I look forward to gamedays and spending my Sundays watching the Lions. I can't wait to actually experience seeing everyone downtown for the Detroit Lions at Ford field. It's not just about football anymore, it's about the vibe and pride of seeing Detroit shining again. The Lions brought back that feeling and I'm here for it.
